Lisa grew up with music and singing in her life from an early age. She got her singing and performing gene from her father who is a musician and singer. While attending college she had her first professional voice lesson and landed her first musical, with that experience it confirmed for her what she wanted to do for her career.
As her performing career began to take shape she was accepted into a start up Dance Company in her hometown, which gave her the opportunity to refine her skills as a dancer. In her spare time she worked part-time at a dance studio while continuing college all the while studying voice & dance. She soon left for New York to audition, work and study in the city like most performers. Her first performing job out of the city was in upstate New York in a cold, cold town and theatre where she found herself singing and dancing along side of the now Tony Award winning director/choreographer of The Book of Mormon, Casey Nicholaw.
Lisa has enjoyed performing in theme park revues, production revues, industrials and special events, however her love and devotion was in musical theatre where she sang, danced and acted within a story setting. Some of her most memorable musicals are Grease, Singing In The Rain, Barnum, Annie, The Pirates of Penzance, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Godspell, Sweet Charity and Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, as the Narrator, to name a few.
Transitioning to South Florida in the 90's, she danced on 3 of Royal Caribbean’s ships, Empress, Monarch & Majesty, and later was given the opportunity to teach the production shows as one of the rehearsal directors at Royal - which is still one the most rewarding jobs she has had to date. After several years of teaching and feeling a bit motivated to have a new experience, she pursued a video production degree to gain more technical knowledge in audio and video production, graduating from The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale with an Outstanding Achievement Award for her portfolio. She also found she has a niche for photography and continues to explore the light and composition!
Today Lisa recruits and schedules the production staff (vocal directors and rehearsal directors) for Royal Caribbean’s 22 ships and growing - her team at the studio is what keeps her going! For pure enjoyment, and to keep her ‘moving,’ she became a Certified BeMoved Instructor with BeMoved Dance in June 2011.
Today, Lisa enjoys spending quality time and traveling with her husband and best friend Sam!
